“Welcome to Jewellery Valuations Dublin, owned and operated by Colin Weldon, a gemologist with a wealth of experience in the jewellery industry. Colin comes from a family with a long-standing reputation in the trade, as the owner of CM Weldon, a family-run business passed down through generations.
Colin’s passion for gemmology started at a young age and he pursued it by studying at prestigious institutions such as the GIA in London, New York, and Carlsbad, California. He even had the opportunity to work with the world-renowned Bulgari on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. His international experience has exposed him to a wide range of jewellery, both new and antique, giving him a unique perspective and expertise in the field.
At Jewellery Valuations Dublin, we understand that your jewellery holds sentimental value, and that’s why we strive to provide the most professional and accurate valuations for insurance, probate, and private clients. Our team of qualified gemologists are dedicated to providing transparent and realistic evaluations, while taking the time to understand your specific needs and requirements. We pride ourselves on providing accurate and reliable valuations that you can trust.
Located in a private and exclusive suite, our goal is to make the valuation process as comfortable and stress-free as possible. We are a family-friendly business, and we want you to feel at home when you visit us. Our team is always happy to answer any questions you may have and provide you with all the information you need to make informed decisions.
We are honored to continue the legacy of Colin’s great-grandfather, James Weldon, who began his journey in the jewellery business as a pawnbroker in Dublin in 1895 and became a respected judge of silver, jewellery, and paintings. His son, Colin’s grandfather, James ‘Wally’ Weldon, also made a name for himself in the antique business in the 1940s, known for his expertise in diamonds and Irish silver. We strive to uphold the same high standards of quality and integrity that have been passed down through the generations.”
